What is Executive Coaching?

Executive coaching is a form of organisational learning through one-to-one conversations that facilitates development for a leader. It achieves this by combining high-personal content with high-business content when focusing on you, the professional, and your future career success.

Our coaching services are bespoke interaction between yourself and an expert coach. The sessions are specifically designed to accelerate both your progress and your business’ progression to success. As each person’s business is different, the sessions are tailored to your needs, resulting in everyone’s experience of executive coaching being unique.

Through the coaching sessions, we will help you to define where you would like your business to be, helping to provide the motivation, advice and skills to get there faster. By making better-informed decisions, with guidance from our expert coaches, your relationships within your workplace and further abroad will be improved.

Let us help you discover your potential faster through our tailored executive coaching.

Up-skilling and Educating

Executive coaching allows you to keep on learning new skills and enhance your current capabilities. No one is ever too old or too experienced to stop improving, and even if you are moving into a senior role, there is always a way to take your skillset to the next level. Our coaching sessions enable you to stretch your performance and further push your potential continually.

By building on your existing capabilities, you can reignite your passion for success. With an executive coach, together, you can discover career avenues that will allow you to contribute at your highest capability level.

What can Executive Coaching achieve?

Executive coaching is considered more time-efficient and practical than any other form of intervention for business and senior managers. The coaching is individually tailored to your needs and entirely outcome-focused; however, a few areas that can be considered are:

  • Core leadership competencies
  • Specific organisational strategic goals that your business is working towards
  • Influencing and communication skills
  • Executive presence
  • Stakeholder management
  • Technical ability
  • Time management
  • Increasing your self-awareness and/or emotional intelligence
  • Motivation and career progression

Personality Profiling

Personality profiling, also called behavioural profiling or personality testing, is a field that covers a vast range of tools and solutions: everything from technical and clinical tools to business-oriented solutions. And, as an employer/employee that can be extremely valuable across different organisations.

Included in our executive coaching, we offer personality profiling to help you better understand your strengths and weaknesses, and how this can affect your career/business venture.

It has been proven that when employees are given a shared understanding of different personality traits, a personality profile test helps employees work more productively together; there is a better understanding of effective communication as well as cooperation as a team.

Different Types of Profiling

There are different approaches to personality profiling and, consequently, various models that are commonly used to describe the ways a person works. Here at Gilbro Group LLP, we use a combination of MBTI, Insights, C.Me, DISC and True Colours to produce an overall image of your personality in relation to a business setting and your career development.

MBTI

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions. The results of which are determined based on four dichotomies: extraversion and introversion, sensing and intuition, thinking and feeling, as well as judgment and perception.

C.Me

The C.Me colour profiling test is a practical tool that does not focus solely on someone’s personality, but instead takes into consideration their natural and learned behaviours and preferences. C.Me profiling focuses on preferred ways of behaving rather than technicalities and psychological perspectives.

DISC

One of the most popular methods of personality testing and assessment is DISC. It consists of a simple questionnaire of twenty-four questions that then breaks down a personality into four factors: Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Compliance (DISC). The DISC model can then be used to describe behaviour and character in a way that’s specifically relevant to a business setting. This model focuses on observing and defining a person’s behaviours rather than basing them on a specific psychological theory.

Insights and True Colours

Insights and True Colours are both personality profiling systems that categorise the four basic learning styles using the colours blue, orange, gold and green. This personality temperament theory works on the basis that everyone’s personality contains all four colours, but two are more dominant. It is these two colours which represent the core of an individual’s personality temperament.
